First thing to mention: I do not own Wreck It Ralph or the character designs used in this project.
The objective of this project was to practice UI design and art for an imaginary mobile game. Technical requirements were not considered during this project, and the focus was mainly on creating a visual design concept. I started by figuring out a base game idea to make the design work easier. The idea was inspired by Sugar Rush: the car racing game from Disney's Wreck-It Ralph movie. In all simplicity, my game idea was an online mobile racing game where 9 players could race against each other. The players could collect different baking ingredients to bake new delicious cars and customize them. Having the idea, it helped me to decide what kind of UI screens and elements would be needed in that type of game.
I used Figma for all the design work and simple prototyping for the user flows. I created wireframes, designed UI elements, and other illustrative elements. One challenging part about this project was trying not to slip too much on the game design side and put too much effort in the gameplay ideas. I have enjoyed so much creating this colorful and playful UI design, but I definitely need more practice especially with colors and icons.
